State Representative and Opelousas lawyer Elbert Lee Guillory announced his bid for State Senate District 24 today.

Guillory made the announcement on the St.Landry - Lafayette parish line.

Guillory says he's the right candidate to give the residents of District 24 the proper representation.

"We certainly are concerned about better justice, better jobs and better protection for our business what we need most here is someone who just going to fight for the people of our community", said Guillory.
